Y390: Prisons in Nazi Germany & the Soviet Gulag in Splash Fall 2016 (Nov. 05, 2016)
Many students have heard about the Holocaust, but not everyone is familiar with the prison camps set up in the Soviet Union. While the Soviets helped the Allies defeat Adolf Hitler & rescued millions from their death, Stalin had his own concentration camps. This class will give you a side by side comparison of the daily life of prisoner in both Nazi Germany and the Gulag. We will cover everything from daily calories, prevalence of diseases, medical care, and labor.
