Brief Biographical Sketch:

Columbia Taal is Columbia University's Premier Classical Dance Team.

We strive to Celebrate South Asian Dance and Art at Columbia and the broader NYC community. We are a group of dancers of diverse backgrounds; our team currently consists of Bharatanatyam, Kathak, Kuchipudi and Mohiniattam Dancers.

Each year, we organize a charity showcase and invite teams from around the country to perform at Columbia University.

In addition to performing, Taal has taught dance classes to children through COVE, Columbia's Community of Volunteer Educators.
